Welcome to the official website of “Los Púa Abajo” – a tango guitar duo that, with its own personality and sound that never neglects its tango roots, occupies a special place in the new breed of Argentine tango, captivating lovers of the genre alike. . Formed by guitarists, arrangers, composers and music teachers Ángel Colacilli and Leandro Coratella in 2007. Based in Buenos Aires and surrounding areas, they have given tango guitar concerts and workshops throughout Argentina and many European countries (Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France and Belgium).
In their conceptual works “Nuevos Tangos Guitarreros Vol.1 (2019) and Vol.2 (2022)” they create an original repertoire where they seek to extend the language of the tango guitar and reinforce their own sound, exploring new forms, harmonies, textures , non-traditional languages in tango, and taking influences from other genres.
